About " The Simple Life"

This rural scene is a reminder of the simple unhurried and serene life of the folk. The cowherds draped in dhotis and careless shrugged on shawls engaged in conversation, seem to be resting with their cattle. The staff in their hand is an accoutrement of their tranquil pastoral life.

Their sojourn for the day would have taken them across the emerald expanses, allowed them to experience the gurgle of the water in the lakes and the merry chirping of birds – an almost sanctuary like setting. The artist has captured the essence of the unpretentious life – one blessed by nature’s bounty and where the sun feels softly warm on the skin and a crisp cool breeze gently caresses the soul.
