About " The Basket Makers" 

The painting captures the age-old craft of basket weaving – an art form as ancient as pottery making. The artist has depicted a tribal family leisurely spending time in crafting a basket. Nomadic tribal folk weave reeds together to make baskets as well as other essential household items. The artist seems to understand this culture well through his portrayal of the typical attire of tribal folk, and seems to want to revive this dwindling skill.

This piece of art symbolizes the simple, innocent, and unadulterated life of the village folk, who seem genuinely happy.  The viewer would experience indescribable emotions when gazing on the unfazed and unruffled appeal of the simple life of the basket weavers.
